The grapes thrive on Hutton soils, located on north and north-west facing slopes. These vineyards bask in the afternoon sunshine, resulting in slightly warmer conditions that contribute to the wine’s vibrant fruit profile.
To achieve its delicate blush color, winemakers partially whole-bunch press and destem the grapes, selecting only 400 liters per ton specifically for this purpose. They then ferment each cultivar separately in stainless steel tanks using a variety of yeasts.The Vergelegen Florence Rosé then undergoes an extended period of lees contact (approximately 6 months) with regular stirring, enhancing its texture and complexity.
