Brandy
Brandy, a fine distilled spirit crafted from the fermented juice of grapes; apples; pears or cherries which impart their unique flavour profile. A favoured choice for sipping and mixing in cocktails due to its rich, warming flavour that often carries notes of fruit; oak and spices. Brandy is aged in wooden oak barrels which adds to the flavour and complexity. The longer it’s aged the smoother, richer and more refined the characteristics. A guideline to ageing: VS (Very Special) aged for a minimum of 2 years; VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) aged for a minimum of 4 years; XO (Extra Old) aged for a minimum of 6 years. Many XOs are aged for significantly longer. An intriguing spirit to enjoy.
