This single malt is matured primarily in American oak quarter casks. These smaller casks allow for faster, more intense interaction with the wood. The nose is initially sweet with notes of orchard fruit and fresh sea air. Hints of citrus and cereal form a background. You will find just a trace of peat smoke.

The palate is sweet and nutty. Tones of honey, grapes, and subtle spice come to the fore. Delicate floral flavours add complexity. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV. It features natural colour and is non-chill filtered. This preserves the whisky’s full, rich texture and character. Wolfburn Northland is an approachable yet sophisticated Highland dram.
