Testalonga El Bandito Lords of Dogtown Chenin Blanc 2025
Secure your bottle of the highly sought-after Testalonga El Bandito ‘Lords of Dogtown’ Chenin Blanc 2025. Renowned natural winemakers Craig and Carla Hawkins deliver a richer, more generous expression of Swartland terroir with this spectacular release.
The 2025 growing season brought unique conditions to the region. A historically wet winter thoroughly soaked the Paardeberg soils. However, intense late-December heat caused a 20% to 30% crop loss from sunburn. This natural yield reduction ultimately saved the vintage. It concentrated the flavors of the remaining fruit beautifully. Cool growing nights preserved striking natural acidity and pristine fruit purity. Grapes thrive on the sandy soils of Môrelig Farm, sourced from low-yielding bush vines planted back in 1981.
Tasting Notes & Profile
This vintage delivers exceptional texture, impressive fruit weight, and beautiful depth. The alluring nose reveals layers of fresh apricot, ripe stone fruit, and hints of aromatic fynbos herbs. On the palate, expect a dense fruit presence perfectly balanced by a vibrant, ripping acidity. It flows smoothly across the palate and culminates in an uncompromisingly clean, bone-dry finish.
