Purchase the inaugural vintage of Testalonga Bandits Kloof Daisy’s Pond Grenache Blanc 2022. This wine is the first release from the Hawkins’ home farm. The vineyards were planted in 2018 on the Bandits Kloof property. It is rooted in decomposed Sandstone and Koue Bokkeveld Shale. The grapes for this white wine were whole-bunch pressed. It was fermented and matured in old 400 litre barrels. It spent an impressive 21 months on the gross lees. No sulfur was added during this long maturation.
The Testalonga Bandits Kloof Daisy’s Pond Grenache Blanc 2022 is expressive on the nose. Expect notes of hay, citrus, peach, and a hard-to-describe nutty quality. The palate shows dense fruit and a solid mid-palate structure. Tangy acidity leads to a super-savory and lightly grippy finish. This dramatic wine displays layers of flavour and full character.
