Winemaker Alexander Milner meticulously blends fruit from five dryland bush vine parcels. These old vines range in age from 14 to 50 years. This multi-regional blend captures the diverse terroir of the Cape. Cinsault, sometimes called Hermitage, is the parent grape of the national varietal, Pinotage. Natte Valleij excels in showcasing this grape’s potential for high-quality, drinkable red wines.

This is a delightful, pale red-pink wine. It offers a fruit-forward nose of redcurrant and pomegranate. The palate has a Pinot Noir feel. Expect light, crunchy strawberries and subtle spice. The wine finishes with a nice, juicy end. Natte Valleij Coastal Cinsault is juicy and easy-drinking with a light to medium body. This wine displays great depth. Grapes are fermented naturally. The wine is aged for 12 months. This aging occurs in a variety of concrete eggs, foudre, and barrels.
