The Lourens Family Lua Grenache Noir 2024 is an elegant, well-structured single-vineyard red. It is named after Franco Lourens’ daughter, Lua Ilse. Grapes come from a dryland bush vine vineyard in Piekenierskloof. The site sits on sandstone soils at 650 metres above sea level.
Black berries, wilted rose, fynbos, earth, and spice appear on the nose. The palate shows dense, concentrated fruit and big acidity. Firm but not coarse tannins provide excellent structure. You will find a graceful, energetic red with layers of wild strawberry, plum, and rooibos tea. The Lourens Family Lua Grenache Noir 2024 is pure and deep with a precise, powerful character.
