Le Riche Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2021 displays an intense, deep garnet colour. Aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, and cassis are immensely expressive. Subtle notes of violet and graphite add sophistication. The palate is rich, dense, and velvety. It shows full black fruit flavours and a creamy texture. Polished, fine-grained tannins provide firm structure. A remarkable acid and fruit balance is evident. The finish is wonderfully long, complex, and piercing.
Grapes were hand-selected from older, lower-yielding vines. Fermentation occurred in open-top concrete tanks. Extended skin maceration took place. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered. It will richly reward bottle ageing for 20 to 30+ years.
