Boplaas Single Grain 8 Year Tawny Finish is distilled from South African yellow maize. It spent five years maturing in ex-Bourbon barrels. It was then finished for three years in casks that previously held Boplaas’s prized Cape Tawny Reserve Port. This dual maturation imparts a dark mahogany colour and rich flavour. The palate is full-bodied and luxurious. Expect notes of matured oak, raisin, tawny port, and hints of vanilla and caramel. It concludes with a lingering finish of dried fruits and warm winter spices.
