Experience the concentrated depth of the Beyerskloof Kriekbult Pinotage 2021. This site-specific Stellenbosch Pinotage pays tribute to the historic Kriekbult farm. Winemaker Anri Truter crafted this wine from 27-year-old bush vines. The 2021 vintage followed a cool, wet growing season. This weather replenished water reserves and promoted excellent grape quality.

The bouquet offers upfront black fruit aromas. Lively notes of oak and hints of dark chocolate complement the fruit. The palate is rich with flavors of blackberries and cassis. Balanced oak aromas from barrel maturation add complexity. A core of deep, concentrated fruit defines this powerful wine. The overall balance in the Beyerskloof Kriekbult Pinotage 2021 is excellent. It concludes with a long, juicy aftertaste.
Grapes were fermented for four days in open fermenters. Hand punch-downs occurred every two hours. Following malolactic conversion, the wine matured for 18 months in French oak. Fifty percent of the barrels were new, with the rest being second-fill. This structure ensures a wine with superb aging potential. Cellaring for 10 years or longer is highly recommended. Enjoy this premium Pinotage with pork or lamb chops on the braai.
