The 2025 Vintage Profile

The name Hereafter Here symbolizes the passage of time and the legacy of future generations planting for the future. The 2025 vintage compiles select fruit from premier parcels across the Swartland, Piekenierskloof, Bottelary, Polkadraai, Paardeberg, and Tygerberg. This brilliant multi-regional blend captures an wonderfully precise snap of regional diversity. The wine displays a charming, nuanced nose featuring soft pollen, ripe pear, fresh curry leaf, and a delicate hint of beeswax.

Tasting Notes

  • Aroma: A beautifully charming nose reveals intricate layers of soft orchard pear, yellow pollen, curry leaf, and subtle beeswax.

  • Palate: The palate entry feels remarkably silky and bright. It delivers an excellent savory herb character, dried laurel notes, and a moreish finish.

Artisanal Vinification & Ageing

The vineyard team picks the grapes early in the morning to preserve maximum freshness before executing careful sorting. They utilize gentle whole-bunch pressing and lightly settle the liquid to keep a very cloudy raw juice state. Spontaneous wild fermentation occurs naturally inside older wooden barrels of various sizes without any additive interventions. This slow, natural process lasts for approximately two months. The wine matures on its primary fermentation lees for 12 months. It then rests in stainless steel tanks on fine lees for an additional six months prior to bottling completely unfined.
