Meet Vergelegen Florence Rosé, the quintessential summer wine crafted for all your al fresco lunches, braais, and picnics! This delightful rosé captivates with strawberry and raspberry notes, complemented by a delicate acidity and a beautiful rose-gold hue.
The grapes thrive on Hutton soils, located on north and north-west facing slopes. These vineyards bask in the afternoon sunshine, resulting in slightly warmer conditions that contribute to the wine’s vibrant fruit profile.
To achieve its delicate blush color, the grapes are partially whole-bunch pressed and destemmed, with only 400 liters per ton specifically selected for this purpose. Each cultivar is fermented separately in stainless steel tanks using a variety of yeasts. The wine then undergoes an extended period of lees contact (approximately 6 months) with regular stirring, enhancing its texture and complexity.
