We’re thrilled to present a unique Syrah bottling from Lukas van Loggerenberg. Sourced from the Karibib farm in Stellenbosch’s Polkadraai Hills, on granite soil just below the Graft vineyard, this wine was fermented with 50% whole bunches and spent two weeks on skins before 11 months of aging in 500L barrels. Lukas nicknamed this block “Populiersbos” due to its proximity to a poplar forest, but a harvest team’s abbreviation of “Poppy” on the barrel became its lasting name. Available in limited quantities.
