This Sémillon is produced from whole-bunch pressed grapes matured for 14 months in 70% new oak, concrete eggs, and amphorae to enhance complexity and texture. The fruit comes from Certified Heritage Vineyards in the Franschhoek Riverbed (planted 1902, 1936, and 1942), whose old vines, adapted to the terroir, yield wines of intense depth and complexity with notable structure and ageing potential. The nose offers vibrant aromas of orange blossom, marmalade, and jasmine with hints of potpourri and beeswax. The palate is pure with tangerine, honeysuckle, and nectarine flavors alongside Cape fynbos and mineral notes, leading to a dry, richly textured mid-palate and a clean, saline finish of grapefruit and lime.
